Children at The Squeaky Windmill

We love kids, really. But sometimes you need a grown-up getaway. The Squeaky Windmill does not recommend this environment for children under 13 years of age.

Cancellation Policy

As a small boutique property, our business relies on maximising occupancy. Due to limited booking lead times, cancellations can often result in vacant rooms. Cancellations made by email more than ten days before your scheduled arrival date will receive a full refund. No-shows or non-arrivals will incur a 100% cancellation fee, and no refund will be provided.

Additional Cleaning

To help us maintain a high standard for all guests, an additional cleaning fee of $100 will apply if the accommodation is left excessively messy. This includes, but is not limited to, dirty dishes, unwashed cooking utensils, unclean BBQ or Weber plates, or excessive rubbish requiring additional cleaning time. We kindly ask guests to leave the space in a reasonably tidy condition upon departure.

Damage, Loss or Missing Items

We understand that accidents can happen. However, guests are responsible for damage to the accommodation, furnishings or property that occurs during their stay beyond normal wear and tear. By confirming your booking, you authorise The Squeaky Windmill to charge the credit card used to make the reservation for the reasonable cost of repairing or replacing damaged, lost or missing items.

Child-Free and Minimum Age Policy

The Squeaky Windmill is designed to provide a peaceful, adults-focused accommodation experience. Our property and facilities are not suitable for children under 13 years of age, and we do not accept bookings without prior authorisation that include children under 13. Guests aged 13 to 17 must be accompanied and supervised by a responsible adult at all times.

Smoke-Free Policy

The Squeaky Windmill is committed to providing a completely smoke-free environment for the comfort of all guests. Smoking, including cigarettes, cigars, vaping and e-cigarettes, is not permitted inside the tents or anywhere on the property. If evidence of smoking is found during or after your stay including cigarette butts, ash, or a noticeable smell of cigarette smoke or vaping in the accommodation upon checkout, a room recovery fee of $250 will be charged. This fee covers the significant cost of deep cleaning, deodorising and restoring the accommodation to a smoke-free condition for future guests.

Please don't bring your dog as there are dingoes in the surrounding hills.
